The Picture Gallery

The Picture Gallery houses a magnificent series of paintings, mainly by French artists such as Boucher, Nattier, Chardin as well as by the Italian Canaletto.

The Music Room

The Music Room, with its crimson brocade walls, is a perfect example of Second Empire taste, and was transformed into a ballroom on concert evenings.

The Grand Salon

Decorated with gilded wood panelling, the Grand Salon in the Rotunda contains a series of sculpted busts by the greatest French artists of the 18th century, including Coysevox, Lemoyne, Houdon and Michel Ange Slodtz.

 


The Dining Room

The Dining Room, which today houses the coffee-shop, is one of the house’s most remarkable rooms, with its Tiepolo ceiling and its 17th century Brussels tapestries.
