The Informal Apartments

The André’s would receive their business relations in a series of smaller, more informal salons. These were decorated in a refined style, testifying to their talents as collectors.

The tapestry room

The tapestry room contains a matchless combination of Louis XIV-Louis XVI furniture and textiles, with outstanding tapestries showing the so-called Russian Games.

Masterpieces

In an intimate décor, the Andre’s exhibited their favourite objets d’art, including masterpieces by Greuze , Fragonard , Chardin and Coypel. 

The library

The library also contains a unique collection of Dutch masters, with works by Van Dyck, Frans Hals, Ruysdael and Rembrandt.
