A night in the Belle Époque

Grand Costume Ball to Celebrate the 150th Anniversary of the Hôtel André

On November 14, 2026

To mark the 150th anniversary of the inauguration of the André mansion, the Jacquemart-André Museum is hosting an immersive evening in the form of a grand costume ball. Throughout the evening, guests are invited on a journey through time to discover the defining moments in the lives of Édouard André and Nélie Jacquemart, set against the backdrop of a lively cocktail reception. Elegance, surprises, and refinement set the tone for this journey into the heart of the Belle Époque.

For this timeless evening, you are invited to don a costume so you can fully immerse yourself in the atmosphere of a prestigious 19th-century soirée, recreated through a period reenactment.

The evening’s central figure, Nélie Jacquemart—who painted Édouard André’s portrait in 1872 before marrying him in 1881—will be among the guests. As you explore the venue, you’re invited to seek her out among the crowd, while entertainment throughout the evening will reveal the secrets of the mansion.
